Seriously. I want out of this armpit of a state. I want a job with a future. I want to provide for my family.

I have a bachelors in business managment. 15 years banking experience which includes all the specialized training and knowledge of business law, marketing, finance, collections. My current job as loan officer and branch manager are not going to make it for me. As you can tell by my post whoring I have way too much dead time at work. Not anything I can do about it. My upper management sets strategy and product offerings and handles what I can do marketing wise. I cannot improve what I have no authority to control.

I am a healthy non smoker (with no tattoos Rae, yet.) with mechanical experience, love motorcycles, willing to relocate, and can pass a piss test.

I am going to miss the Ozarks if I have to move far away. But perhaps I could get something in Tenn or Virginia? Texas Hill Country is nice and they have a load of race tracks down there.

I really can work. I have skills. Why should I stay somewhere and do nothing and make half of what I am "worth", when I could go somewhere and work to maximize my potential?

Sure my dream job is to run a track school or be a moto-journalist, but realistically there are only a handful of jobs like that. Got to be something more satisfying and fullfilling somewhere

My lease is up in June but my landlord would be willing to let me out in the spring(March April). Could still swing a temp dual residence if it was worthwhile.

I can learn anything new, would be a nice change from what I have been doing for 15 years. Problem with "new" is that sometimes you start at the bottom of the pay scale and with a family it keeps you from really being flexible for long...

With your experience, I'd look into hiring on with the FDIC.

They have announced a big increase in staff for 2009 to deal with the banking mess that we have now.

Relocate to Cali and pull in over $150k.

I have looked into it. FDIC pay scale is tough and travel heavy for the first 3-5 years of employment. If you stick with it you get a good return, its just living thru the BS the first couple 3 years. I have a couple good sources inside...
