Changing your own tires / tubes with hand tools?
Never done it myself, but probably a trade I need to take up if I ever destroy a tire on the trail.
Recommended equipment? How about balancing? |

I just do it when I go to the track. I know the tire guy at the Dunlap trailer and he does them for free.

I'm assuming the tires on the Wr are tubed? I wish I could remember the name of it, but there's a product out that looks like a tire tube, but it's not a complete circle. It allows you to change your tube without pulling the tire off of the bike. The two sealed ends butt up against each other and complete the circle..

btw - I carry both tubes, a patch kit, and two short tire irons with me at all times. When I'm at home I cheat and have one long tire iron at my disposal, but I've never really had a problem just using the little ones out in the woods. |
