Default Increased street presence?

Ok, have the ghosts of joints past come back to inflict paranoia upon me or is there like a 200% increase in police presence on the roads in the last month or so?
At first I was thinking "Oh, it's just for Memorial Day weekend", but it seems like this has been going on for weeks now.
Is this a new summer campaign thing?
I don't recall them working the roads this hard last summer.

Sales Tax revenue for the city is down 10-15% over the last few months. The city is facing a record shortfall relative to its (bloated) budget. Combine that with Comrade Acevedo's love of totally shredding the Bill of Rights, not to mention total disregard for the intent and letter of the Texas Transportation Code, and you have your answer.

Oh no.. it's been APD, county, DPS...
Half of my drive to work is outside of Austin and it definitely doesn't end at city limits.

Well we just drove through Austin going to SA and saw 5 just on the lower deck Then we didn't see anymore until we got back to Austin later that night.

Granted, one of them was a Constable that pulled some guy over for driving like a dick. It was awesome!

lots more locals, counties, and DPS running radar. You cant drive to SA any more from New Braunfels without seeing at least 2-3 cop cars....one day there was 5

yes, we're on 699 W. San Antonio street.

not sure if I'd call it obscure, its a pretty big building that used to be the Pontiac, GMC, Buick dealer....

It's just so random that it's amongst all the houses and it's not really a place I would ever have thought a motorcycle shop would be, that's all.

And I mean obscure in a good way.
