Further degredation of society
And also why healthcare costs are out of control.
http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/...nice_suit.html You go in to have surgery for a procedure you obviously dont need and something happens, too fucking bad. For someone to willingly take the risks of going under anesthesia and having their body opened up for no real reason they should deal with any of the complications/consequences. |

I don't have facts and I'm pulling this out of my ass, but most of these big $$$ malpractice lawsuits stem from elective procedures.

you are full of shit, tommy.
if you had elective surgery and they fucked up bad with gross negligence, you would not sit back and say "well, this is what i get!". you would sue too.

No, but if you were getting yourself cut open... maybe you would do your homework farther than a Google search?

I have always thought that there should be some kind of "warranty" on medical/dental work...The doctor should have to redo the surgery for free but $5,000,000 um nah...

Now, imagine somebody cutting you open and not doing it right. There's no way anybody would just shrug that off. |
