How many roads/routes have you memorized?
Spinning off from my previous thread about being faster on roads we know, how many routes/roads have you memorized amongst your favorites?
For example, Trip knows every inch of the Gap, No Worries can tell us the elevation of each curve on lookout mountain, sounds like TMALL has Cabot trail covered. How much did you ride that favorite road or section of road to become as familiar/fast on it? You know that road where you can just close your eyes and imagine every curve, groove, bump, etc... We've got maybe three "main" local routes we ride often; anymore I let someone else lead the ride & choose the ride route, so I tend to bring up the back of the pack, and just take it easy.

Believe it or not. I've never done the cabot trail.
The province just has hundreds and hundreds of miles of cabot trail like roads. |

none. They're new every time. I'm convinced I've got directional alzheimers though. Louie gets mad because I'll ask for directions somewhere and he'll say "but you've BEEN there before..." Doesn't matter. I still can't get BACK there until I've been there more than 4 or 5 times. I'm not a stupid person but directionally??? I might as well be Jessica Simpson behind the wheel.

When I got off the rocket to the chop. It was to get away from the speed rockets. Then from chop to bagger, it was for "turn key", comfort, and convience. |
