movin up to a 1000
I'm movin up from a 600 to a 1000 now. the cbr kinda started to bore the piss outta me, so I'm pickin up a ZX1000A on saturday to replace it. call me nuts but I love classic bikes. as I recall from reading, and others the ZX1000 was a BEAST in its day, and to some degree still is with somewhere round 125-130hp or so stock.
I'm really not too concerned with going absurdly fast but I like the concept of having endless power on demand from 3k straight to 10.5 and just yeah. hell I'm even snagging extra parts and a whole parts bike in the deal. just need some spare cases and I can build 2 extra motors. pix to come saturday evening after i've organized all my parts and cataloged everything. |

lets see.... 87 ZX1000A2(blew motor) 97 EX500, 92 600F2(didnt run) 98 EX500, 89 GS500E 75 CB550K, 92 EX500(biggest turd evar) 87 CBR600F so lets see, thats 8 bikes so far. these will be #'s 9 and 10, once I get the 2nd 1000 titled and registered for the road.
I think over the course of owning so many bikes I've learned quite a bit about fixin em, and how to maneuver better. this is not countin the ninja 250, RD250, ZX10R, and GSXR600 SRAD I've been on, plus the CB650 I've repaired and ridden. |

best part is, I'll have PLENTY of extra parts to work out adaptation of 17" rims and radial tires for this monstrosity. I mean I'm gettin a complete bike, a parts bike that I'm gonna build and title for the road, and most of a third bike, minus fuel tank and frame/bodywork.
