Default new j-o-b

Well it was a good run but after 6 years it was time to move on. Staying local but changing industries. Change is good right? I hate starting a new job but it will be a good move in the long run. Better pay, smaller company, better benefits.... longer commute... by a factor of 3. No biggie though, in the grand scheme of things 30 miles wont be that bad. It might get me back on the bike more(in good weather).

Nice... good luck!

30 miles, depending on how those miles are allocated isn't bad. All open highway - total breeze. All normal roads with few traffic lights - no problem... busy back streets, congested highways, etc - fuck that.

25 miles or so of open highway. Meaning little traffic. Winters might get rough though with all the snow.

Congrats on the move.

Isn't auto kind of a scary industry (job security-wise) to be going into these days?

You were in aviation prior, right?

This is cutting edge technology that could be applied to aerospace in the future. The company has plans to eventually market to air framers.

Yes I am/was in aerospace engineering.

There are A lot of crossover companies like Rolls, Saab, BMW..

Why take a bike in traffic in a state you cannot split lanes? Well I guess for the fuel econ.

Good luck on the new job.

No traffic to deal with. I'll be heading out of the city to get to work and in to the city to get home.
