Default Anybody have/had a Bowflex?

Thinking about getting one. Worth it? I used one a while back and I thought it was decent. Definately different than the regular machines. You'd have to use other muscles to stabilize the weight still. Maybe not as much as free weights, but better than regular machines.

I use Free Motion at the gym and they are very similar in the way they work. Very good machines. Buy one used off of craigslist. They are all over.

My parents got one a year or so after they first came out. We all used it a ton for about 4 months then it just sat. Same thing happened with the Jacuzzi. It's the biggest model they offered 2 years ago, and my parents were dealers so we got it for real cheap. Over the winter we use it more, but not a ton. Made for a great weekend of partying until cops came saturday night at 12. No arrests, but the cops knew my parents so they got a call.

Personally I will always say free weights over bowflex, but honestly it is whatever you are going to consistently use for the longest.

ive used it, and TBH i could never really get into it. Its just not the same as freeweights. I'd consider that adjustable free weights they have, if they werent so fucking bulky.

a bench, and a rack of weights are all i need at home. the rest i do at the gym.

I rock the freeweights. It's a better workout and a hell of a lot cheaper than a Bowflex.

I want the convinience of a machine. Plus, free weights add up plus the benches and all that stuff.
