Visor Down, aka Two Wheels Only. US mags suck.

Pretty much. I read some of the American mags, but the Brit mags seem much more honest. You almost need a translation guide to read American magazines.
Occasionally has a bit of headshake = tankslapper deathtrap FI not as smooth as we would like = stumbles so bad you'd think it lost a cylinder Suspension a little stiff = don't hit a bump if you want to keep your nuts Riding position is racy/track oriented/tight = it will give you carpal tunnel looking at it on a dealership floor Quirky/unique/different/etc. = breaks all the time and you can't get parts The Brits are much more willing to call a POS what it is. Unfortunately I'm not willing to spend $12 or more for a single issue. |

Well they have an ongoing 'tutorial' I guess you could call it about restoring a CB500 Four. I am inheriting a CB 550 Four next month, so I just liked it. I am going to go to Hastings sometime this week and look at what they have. I need a good classic/restoring magazine. |

I hate all of the American rags with a passion! The ONLY reason they make it to my house is because they are free!!! I get Cycle World, Sport Rider and Motorcyclist which in reality means that I get "Motor World Rider". They are basically the same rag! Shit MC and SR had an article about the new BMW that used the exact same pictures and the same basic review as well. What a waste! If I had paid for both of these pos rags, I would be pissed. As it stands, I wish that I had spent that time on the toilet reading the backs of shampoo bottles instead!
