What I think is nutz is that I felt it all the way in Kansas City. Went back to sleep not knowing what in the hell just happened, woke up later and heard it on the news.

I was at work when it happened. Not too many people there at that hour, but heads popped up out of cubicles everywhere.

Growing up in SoCal, I've been through all too many (though, really... as a kid, I usually managed to sleep through them )

Don't wish, buy a used one. I've seen 79-80 Honda 750F's on Craigslist for under $1K. Terrific street bike. Three disc brakes, four-valve heads, and Comstar wheels. Wow.
