proxies. ideas?
I never had to use them before, so i know little about em.
basically my wife is israeli and trying to watch a live steaming tv show from an israeli website. she has not had problems up until this week they decided to block streaming to all people outside of the country. I figure all she has to do is find an Israeli based web proxy and access the site from there and bingo. but no go. first, after about an hour of searching there are only a handful of israeli based web proxies, and half of those listed are defunct. second, she claims that for the video to stream, this browser tool bar needs to be installed. if you want to try your hand at it, this is the link http://www.mako.co.il/mako-vod-keshe...65eec21004.htm when the video plays, it will say access blocked. if you can help me keep the wife happy I would be super appreciative!

I tried, but I am not installing all the shit you need to make it work. It kept telling me missing plugin or use safari when I tried firefox. I am wary of sites that try to make you use their little software packages.

yea i dont expect you to install the tool bar. i have it at home, and everytime a new tab is opened the url changes to a document on the harddrive and then to the requested URL, probably logging history in some file and sending it. just a guess. I am guessing it also is the reason why a regular web proxy wont work (if i could find one)....
