Tax return Mods 2011
So, I bought a new to me '08 HD Ultra last year and was so geeked that I didn't do anything to it at all. This year I got a pretty sizable return from Uncle Sam borrowing my money all year long.
So I drew up a plan and a price list for my personal financeer (aka my wife), and purchased the necesarry components. Here is a broad view List of Items: Black billet shift linkage, Smoked LED front and rear turn signals, Smoked Fender tip light covers, Engine heat guards, StreetGlide mirrors, Windshield 2 pocket pouch, Windshield/Fairing LED accent trim, and Not pictured LED rear brake light module. And then on the left side is the Hogtunes gear that I bought the Big Ultra kit; 40.4 amp, improved front and rear speaker direct replacement, FL-7W 7" woofers for fairing lower gloveboxes, and HF-1 Tweeter Pod. Started with the stereo equipment first. Rears first. Front Speakers First one mounted(right side) and the scary area that has to have the amp cramed in. Notice the nice power block ran from the battery for the HID lamps that Gas and I did last summer. Makes power run for the amp take a lot less wiring. Next is the install of the Lower Woofer speakers. This brought about a whole new problem. Hogtunes wants you to just zip-tie the wire to the highway bar and it looks ok, but Gas and I don't do "ok". So we went the more difficult time consuming method of routing the wire through the highway bar into the glove boxes. Gas drilled two holes in the top of the pipe and then one from inside glove boxes into the highway bar and we fished the wire through so its out of sight. Seal with a drop of silicone and BLAM. Speaker installed. Grilled installed lookin good Amp in place and wiring ran Next is the LED Front signals. Here is what I had Heres the LED In the dark just marker light With signal lit Front end Installed the Streetglide mirrors Now the fairing looks nice and clean, no mirrors hangin out in the wind breaking up the nice clean lines. Installing the LED Windshield/Fairing trim piece Installed Shift linkage installed

Damn 20 pic limit
Engine heat shields
Next is the rear end lights. Here is what it looks like stock The install process for the rear indicators was the most aggrevating of all the mods. The bolts for them are facing in toward the main brake light and are behind the bar. The bottom bolt can be accessed with a wobble socket allen key by jamming in down the hole with the wiring but the top one has to be turned out with a standard hex key turning about 1/8-1/4 turn at a time. Probably took the longest of any single mod add. Didn't help that we were so tired after all day of workin on the damn thing Here are the finished looks: lights off Brakes applied Lights out pic of the front end So, there you have it. Thats prolly the extent of the work that I will do to that bike for a good long time. Other than the little odds and end replacement upgrades for the things that break from wear and tear. Oh and as Gas likes to say Custom isn't bolt on, and none of this stuff just bolted on. PS all pics taken by Gas Man thanks for the garage use and the documenting.

that's annoying as shit too, I will blow by some of you fools on the gap listening to Britney Spears or Justin Beiber, but you will roll into the store blasting Iron Maiden or Metallica. Bunch of douchers, you guys are.

It goes from "Girls just wanna have fun" to Anthrax with the push of a button.
