We are comfortably cool, with sunny skies and a nice breeze. Fuck the rest of you.

I am rocking my first snagglewtooth stout of the night so if all goes well I could wind up floating away or on fire later

First was Irene soaking thru my basement wall on the east side of the house. Minor flooding in the basement.
Then the rain continued. Today was the first day in a couple weeks it didn't rain hard. The water table is up so high, the water is percolating up into my basement. We have some old carpets on the concrete but we've thrown them out due the excessive amounts of water that soaked thru the floor. Compared to what some folks are going thru, this is only a minor inconvenience. |
