Texas Vacation Ideas
So all you in Texas, where should I go and what should I do over Memorial Day weekend? I want to travel around the state and visit some places, but not sure where.
I am thinking Austin and the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. Any other suggestions? |

Just the weekend? If you try to fit in everything in the state, you'll spend the whole weekend driving.
Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels is awesome. If you want to do some riding, hill country (southwest of Austin) is the place to go. If you come to Austin, I'll show you around. |

I'd say my house, but it's packed up to move.
Romantic spot or convenient? Downtown I stay on the water. There is a great courtyard (Marriott) that is in the middle of the nightlife. And, not just the college party nightlife, but grown up nightlife. Romantic, Blair House in Wimberly has some great cabins that are great getaway without being too far away. But, they might be booked...

Only place in Texas I have interest in seeing is Big Bend, but it's probably hot as shit out there already. That's more of a winter vacation.

Right now I'm betting it still feels pretty nice out there. Come mid-June, yeah, then it'll be proper hot.

If you go to Fort Worth, go see Four Day Weekend. They're an improv comedy troupe in downtown. They are teh funny.
