Default cool tool: level + picture hanger

so i saw this on DIY network

for those who need a level and those hanging pictures



you determine how wide you want to place picture hole hangers move the little circles at the outer ends and BAM use the level

I use a laser level to hang pictures.

Cool. I like the laser level idea too but I would probably use the actual level. Don't know why...

I just drive a nail and stick them up there, usually after drinking. Unless they're centerfolds, seems like those stick to the wall all on their own.

There's smaller one-time use versions of that that are really cool as well.

Funny/true story however:

In our office we've got an upstairs 'reception' area near the Exec's offices (and on the largest wall is, of course, one of those framed motivational posters). Over the holidays, we moved around some of the furniture to put up a Christmas tree, and stockings (so we had to take down the motivational poster).

When we took it down, we noticed this neat little picture hanging bracket with a built in level... hmmm... that's really cool! Then we noticed -- it was WAY crooked. The dumb-fuck that hung it STILL couldn't get it right, even with a built in level!!! Bahahahahahaahahaah.....
