Default Two days in a row w/ pics(woot woot!!!)

Went out again today. A little warmer than yesterday. I think it was around 30*F all day.
Here you go.

Total miles ridden today.

The wind is still blowing like crazy. It was pushing me so hard out there on RT-340 heading to Charlestown, WVA.

You've now ridden more miles in 2 days, in the dead of winter, than I do most weekends.

I thought about going out, but it would take longer for me to put on all my gear and wait for my bike to heat up than it would for me to go anywhere

I'm hoping to use my bike for my job. At the moment, boss says it will be okay. We'll see how the "customers" react to it when it actually happens. Once I'm up to full caseload, I'll be in the field one day per week, any day I choose. Most miles I've had on a day is 200, least was 35 (all the cases were in town). I'll get 52 cents per mile if I use the bike, whereas I'd get 55 cents per mile if I use my personal car. Hell with the 3 cents, I'll ride the bike. If the weather sucks, I can simply do office work and move my field call to a nice weather day. No set schedule. We'll see how it all plays out when the time comes, but that's my plan, anyway.

I rarely ride to work. It's only 4 miles from my house, not worth the hassle and abuse to the bike for that short of a trip.

Oh, I agree. I wouldn't ride mine just to the office. It's about the same distance as your drive. However, the once a week field calls would be fun. Of course, I'll have to get lockable saddle bags on the bike since I'll have case files with me, but that's fine by me. It will get me out on the bike a lot more often than just the weekends, which will be nice.

I personally like riding to work. It really gets me in a good mood to start the day. In fact, I used to leave early and go a bit out of the way. The best part was always the ride home which helped me shed any frustrations that the work day may have brought.

Thanks, marko. It's not much. Been very busy lately. I just take every opportunity I can get.
