Default New Direction For M. Night Shyamalan

His new movie looks nothing like his previous works. Looks pretty good, IMO.

I love M. Night... dude's movies are always tough to figure out... but I love that... trying to figure it out... thinking I have it... only to get kicked in the gut when he reveals it...

Really?
The Sixth Sense got me, and it was his only good movie. Every other movie I have seen of his, I was able to pick out the plot twist within 15 minutes of the movies start.
He is not only predictable, he also tries too hard, and it shows in the movies he makes. They are complete crap.

so you figured out the village? I didnt.... I'm usually very good at figuring the twists out... the sixth sense I had a vague idea... but it still got me.

I think the problem with his movies, it people rely on what they THINK they know too much... they build up an expectation of what they THINK the movie is... and when he flips it... they're dissapointed that it wasn't what they invisioned... rather than judge the movie on it's own merrit.

personally I've liked all his movies, the happening, was for me a little odd... and I never saw unbreakable completely... but the village, and the six sense were awesome... the lady in the water and signs were decent.

but I've got my own taste in movies... I enjoy many that people hate... and hate many people enjoy...

like Pulp Fiction... complete and utter crap

I picked the ending in the opening scene when they showed the date on the headstone.

Yea, I knew it was modern day from the headstone too... I didn't understand all the suspense and surprise actually...

Apparently "Unbreakable 2" is in the works.
