Default Made a little kid's day

I was on my way home from the gym and some shiny black car isn't stopping behind me at a light... It pulled up beside me, so I looked over to see if I needed to LEAVE, like NOW.

I look at the driver, and it's just some woman. And she's motioning to look at her kid in the back seat- who's about 6 or 7 and grinning like mad SO I relaxed and opened my shield, and she says "My son loves bikes..." and I chat with the little guy till the light changes, blip the throttle, tell him to be careful, wear his gear, and have fun. While he's reciting the list of bikes he wants, the light changes. I said "Have a nice weekend" and did a little wheelie, leaving mommy's Jag and whatever was in the other lane far behind.

I was a good influence (mostly) today.

Unless the kid someday decides to buy a gixxer and the frame snaps in half....

Good on you.

Maybe now, the kid won't grow up to be a lawyer.

very nice,

it's always cool to stop at lights and see little kids faces plastered against thier window looking at the bike. they don't seem to care what style it is, only that it's on two wheels.

Yep I try to acknowledge them with a wave...a blip of the throttle or whatever. Same in the Z06. I remember when I was a kid and loved bikes and hot cars and thought it was cool when the guy driving them acknowledged me with the same.

reminded of when we went to a local bike night. had my son with and a guy showed up with a viper. everyone was trying to get a look at the car and my son couldn't get through the crowd to see. guy came up behind us later. "was hoping you guys were still here" "did you want to see the car" to my son. he was like 8 at the time. guy leaves it running and gets out. lets my son sit in the drivers seat. needless to say the next few years had vipers all over his walls.
