my dad was the engineer on the interior.. i drove a few of them.. they are fun as shit to drive.. i have all kinds of literature on the car including a picture of my dad with the first car off the production line in italy.. he actually started working on it when he was at visteon then he retired and bruce qvale hired him direct to finish the project.. about 2 years later they sold out to MG and my dad went on to another company..

I love the sound of a well-piped Mustang but I'd never say they purred.

that charcoal color doesn't do it justice - looks much better in yellow or red.. the yellow one was in a movie actually - and tested by road and track and car and driver - i beat the shit out of that car (not that an 100 people didn't before me).. tell you what you dump the clutch and that motherfucker would hook up right now.. it was light and fast.. quality was a bit suspect though due to the way they pieced it together..

this is the transam race car they had - i hung out with the driver brian simo at the detroit grand prix.. he raced in nascar for a small stint.. the guy was a phenomenal driver:

the silver one is not bad looking either but the pictures still don't do it justice:

red:

can't find a good pic of the yellow but if i dig through my archives i have a good one of me in the driver's seat:

what was cool about this car was the hard top convertible actually went into the trunk when it was retracted.. of course there was no trunk room though but hell it's a sports car not an suv.. detomaso actually started this whole project and qvale ended up taking it over.. i also have literature of when it started as detomaso..
