So close to being decent, yet still blown away by the Storz Performance conversion kit version that's been out for a while.

I'm not much of an H-D fan, but I would ride that. With a few tweaks I'm sure it would be a great bike.

I've read several tests on the thing and it gets high marks from all. It's no 1098, but still a decent bike. The engine has a bunch of Buell parts in it like heads, cams etc. Frame and suspenders are upgraded and cool body work. About the only things I would do, is uncork it with exhaust, maybe look into a 17" front wheel conversion (it has an 18) and tune the suspension for me. Maybe handle bars, but I would have to ride one to see about that.

Even with the color scheme, it looks like it has promise. While most of TMC's line of bikes doesn't appeal to me at all, this one just might. Even better would be a 'night' version - although a tank, some bodywork, and a trip to a painter would 'cure' the visual yuck for me even as issued...

Try it out and let us know what you think of the suspension, brakes, and accelleration.

The geometry isn't nearly as extreme as Buell and there were plenty of folks who dogged (and still dog) Buells for being "Harleys", but I think there have been plenty of folks who have been surprised by what a Buell can do.

Adrenaline Moto did a really slick XR1200 project:

Not everything is a super sport. Unless you are doing lots of track days, NO ONE can use all that their repli-racer has to offer on the street.

Sometimes having a bike that is spec'd for the street provides you with just that viscreal experience that a bike tuned for the track can't offer.

nice work on that one

harley has a rep for special editions being nothing more than special paint. so if this really IS something more than a standard issue sporster then it may be worth a look as something comfortable but not grossly limiting.

They come in black as well as silver too.

That is sick! As far as street machines...some get it, some don't. There's always gonna be people who are gonna knock a Harley only b/c it's a Harley. Most of those same people have never even ridden one...but will talk shit till they are blue in the face.

Forget the fact that modern day HD's have Showa suspension, Brembo brakes, slipper clutches, fly-by-wire throttle, etc.
