I'll be off in about an hour. I'm tired. But as soon as I'm home I will be wide awake. Stupid second wind kicking in at the wrong time.

This is where I could make some sort of reference to sex, but my gutter-wit is failing me.

i was like that the other day, left work and had to drive an hr to a dealer to get some parts. I was falling asleep on the ride home and was totally out of it. I get home and get out of my car and feel totally fine

I took a little cat nap before the next shift got there (it was that dead) that only teased my body into thinking it could sleep and pissed it off. I had to stay late because we got a small rush and they needed my help. I dragged my ass out the door and now I'm sitting in front of the computer at home with my eyes wide open. That's ok....I took a couple of OTC sleeping pills. I'll be asleep in another hour (hopefully). I'll fool the body back into thinking it needs to sleep.

I will be working tonight. After hearing the wonderful stories about how god awful busy it's been the past three days and knowing how my manager doesn't know how to put together a schedule to even remotely cover the volume coming through the ER (one person for 5 hours on Christmas, brilliant work there dickbags) I'm not looking forward to being there tonight.

I'm hoping for a chill night like it was last night. I'll have the two padawans tongith though. If it's like it was last night, me and my co worker should be able to work alot with them tonight. We both desperately need them to be ready to handle their own by the end of next week.

One I think we'll be ready, but the one I've mainly been training is iffy. She's smart as hell when I quiz her but freezes up when she actually has to apply it. Plus she's dyslexic and it shows when she's nervous so she's all over the place reading from a script. Maybe if I make her read them aloud over and over again it will help?

Have you tried talking through the script with her and giving her the opportunity to put her own spin on it? It may help her overcome the dyslexia part. Also, if you have the time (and that's always a big if, of course) keep running her through role playing exercises so that it becomes more natural for her. Or see if there are any tricks she's used growing up to help her to learn stuff. She's probably developed some ways to help her learn new concepts from dealing with dyslexia in school.
