I worked in "Show Biz" for about 9 years, and the one thing I can tell you, is that there is no such thing as a "soft-hearted" producer. Those motherfuckers are sharks, plain and simple. TV shows that don't make money, don't stay on TV, end of story.

That's not sponging off the system, that's capitalism at its finest. You want to pay me 65k a week so you can follow me around with a camera? Fuck yes, where do I sign?

As for not "contributing to society", well that describes 99% of the shit on TV anyway. There are apparently enough baby loving people out there to keep this thing going, and these people are not on welfare, so far as I know, so what's the problem?
