Default Sports Bike Luggage Rack

Didn't someone post a video/information about a rather different rack that attached to the rear of most sport bikes using the rear seat section?

I have tried searching for it but I can't find it. Wasn't sure if it was on this site or on another.

Arg.

Yes, it is close to what Ebbs posted but it actually replaces the rear seat and you can order an extra piece to set the rear seat as a back piece. Something of that sort.

I thought it was on here recently, but I may surf the gixxer forum again tomorrow and look for it. Now that Alaska is a go, I gotta start looking into these things seriously.

Thanks Derf, exactly what I was looking for. For some stupid reason I didn't look for the aftermarket section just touring and street riding with a couple of failed searches.

Are you happy with your choice?

I intend on putting my passenger pegs back on the bike so I will have the extra strapping points for luggage and stuff but I still have yet to order and luggage. The think I like about the tray is that it gives you a nice wide surface on which you and rig shit up versus just getting a big tail bag and then trying to figure out how to add more shit to that.

the tailbag is pretty good, I havnt had a chance to really use it except around the neighboorhood. it seems sturdy, and it looks like it would hold up for a good period of time.

Another positve not is that it does have a few place to strap stuff on. It comes with 2 snap in straps that are perfect to put a tent, sleeping bag and a sleeping pad on top. Plus, add to that the fact that it has bungees on the side. I havn't really figured out what I woudl put in them, they seem kinda thin to really hold any weight, but I think that they are more for keeping the stuff in the bag compact and tight.
