Default Is Lanesplitting legal in TX?

Don't see any laws against it..but what would cops do?

Unsafe operation, illegal passing, failure to maintain control, failure to maintain lane, plus any of a thousand local ordinances that are on the books that vary town to town.

Thats just off the top of my head there are more that they can get you with

I wheelied while splitting at 60mph once...it was an accident tho since I usually don't wheelie.

Agreed, but it is enforced in TX unlike CA where it is not enforced

Actually, california allows for lane splitting. and if its NOT legal, its illegal. thats just basic logic right there. here there are laws specifically prohibiting passing another vehicle in the same lane as that vehicle occupies.

I didn't say it was NOT legal..I stated there was nothing on the books that says its NOT legal or illegal. Also, in CA you are allowed to lane share, not lane split.

I also heard Atlanta in the city allows for lanesplitting.

Lane splitting would scare the piss outa me in our ohio traffic. too many grey hairs and pissed of douche bags.
