I was thionking the same thing, this is advanced negotiating tactics, making his disspleasure with Yamaha team setup known to negotiate a few extra dollars.

As far as Yamaha is concerned, who do they really want? I think Rossi does have the bigger name, and is an overall more well rounded rider capable of placing n a more consistat basis, even Lorenzo might be faster hes not as good as Rossi, nor does he have as big of a name

Rossi has always talked about his goal to ride for every mfr. This isn't surprising

Yeah, but Lorenzo is winning on the bike that Rossi built. How would he do without Rossi/Burgess as lead developers.
I think Lorenzo has gotten on a gravy train, and he should be careful about how he treats the conductors.

While I think Rossi is by far the best rider, Lorenzo IS the future of Yamaha. How many years does Rossi have left in MotoGP? Let Rossi go, move Spies in to his spot.

Troy Bayliss won the WSBK championship at 38 last year. Rossi is 30. He will have a ride in MotoGP as long as he wants to ride.

I was gonna say drop Lorenzo...add Spies but Rossi wouldn't like that either if Spies starts rocking.

What about the rumors that Rossi will leave GP all together when his contract is up. It's no secret he wants to race 4 wheels.
