It takes less time than scissors, and is more even & accurate, so what's the harm?

We are discussing trimmers, not shavers.

I hate spending the money to get a haircut every 3 weeks, so I usually take the clippers to my head during the spring and summer months and let my hair grow out a bit the rest of the year. It's great for riding to work since I don't have to worry about helmet hair. It’s not even March yet and I’m already itching to do so.

I'm no fan of body hair, so I also trim my pits with the clippers regularly, as well as my chest hair. Pubes are trimmed and the boys get Naired.

Have we crossed the TMI threshold in this thread yet?

Yes, TMI without a doubt!

I picked up a little cordless trimmer years ago & it has served me well for the nethers & pits. Uncomfortable as hell going shaggy! Never had the courage to do my hair - don't want a buzzcut...

Funny story - a buddy of mine was making fun of guys 'manscaping', and then got busted on by every guy at the table, Kathy, and the waitress he had the hots for who just said 'Ewwww!' So he got shamed into shearing himself, and one nicked nut-sack later he figured out that the guards serve an important purpose!

RTFM.

I leave it on for no more than 5-6 mins and I wash/rinse thoroughly to ensure I get all of that shit off. If it burned by doing so, I certainly wouldn't do it.
