The radio issue is the big thing with the incredible. It's much easier to just go unrevoked so you can get S-OFF.

what is S-OFF?

I've thought about going to the incredible if my droid drinks too much again (with the claims on the Storm and my first Droid I've been dropped from insurance) thought about the X though...

It turns off a major security check on the device. It lets you flash to any radio you want very easily and breaks the root of the new stock froyo rom.

At this point, I would wait for the next gen of HTC devices. The droid X isn't worth it from what I hear. A lot of unhappy users going to droid 2 or incredibles.

What complaints do you hear about the Droid X? You seem to be well informed on smartphones....I'm curious as I've got a Droid X....bone stock out of the box...no cracking it or anything and I LOVE it...don't have a single complaint with or about it.

I'm not a power user by any estimation and am wondering what complaints more educated users have about the device.

It's not what people expected, size being a problem, this is from power users like Tigger who trade phones on a whim. They just enjoyed another phone more than this one and went back to something more like that.

The average users that I know with it seem happy.

Frg22d? Supposedly it breaks your root and you have to do it over via sprecovery

This is what I'm running now, looks great. Stable too
