I love how people think just because they talk well and look good in a suit that they're gonna be a good politician.

Because that was the reason he was elected?

Or maybe people just found the other choice to be unacceptable?

I love how people buy into shit just because a celebrity endorses it. Is that celebrity really a subject matter expert?

Depends on your definition of "good politician" Is that politician good for the people, or just good at politics?

I love how people vote for someone just because the other choice is unacceptable. Haven't people realized this "lesser of two evils" crap still leaves us with a bad result? When the fuck are we going to wake up as a country and start demanding that the government actually does what's right for the people, rather than keeping all these damn politicians that are just doing what it takes to line their own pockets?

Ya know... Granpaps had the BEST analogy today...

Obama is like a turtle on a fence post.
Some asshole put him up there, he can't do anything but wiggle his legs. He has no idea how he got there, or what to do up there, he's just stranded there till somebody takes him down.

honestly... both are shit reasons to elect a president...

but I think it had more to do with his skin color, and who was leaving office rather than anything else...

Not sure who you're referring to, but I'd bet anything that the people who think comedians are political experts are also likely to think celebrities & athletes are experts as well. After all, stupid is as stupid does.

And what are you personally doing to acheive that goal? Are you one of those people who doesn't vote at all?

There's ALWAYS going to be SOMETHING about a candidate that you don't like. Does that mean you'll never vote?
