I have no idea what they are on about...ambient temperature is ambient temperature... Does aluminum produce heat or cold? Wouldn't that go for the rest of the parts on your bike made from Aluminum?

Btw driven grips are cheap, spend the extra $20 for em instead of the Chinese knockoff. Grip colors and aluminium collars/inserts are replaceable and available in dif colors too.

Oh yeah, I forgot metal won't raise past ambient temperature when placed in direct sunlight.

The only metal your body touches on your bike is (on some bikes) your gas tank, so I'm not sure what point you're making there.

Direct sunlight with your hands on them? Let me get this straight, you believe that silver colored alum grips will get hotter than black rubber grips... well, I've never noticed anything but you'd know better, I'm sure.

btw my frame is black aluminum and I've never burnt my leg on it...

Not to mention that my bar ends are metal...that's a trip to the burn unit just WAITING to happen!

Didn't realize you kept your hands on the clip-ons the whole time your bike was parked. Clearly my bad.

Tell you what, the next sunny, hot day you lay your hand on the roof of a silver car and I'll put mine on the tire. We'll see who pulls away first.

And then there's the whole density thing that makes metal retain heat longer than rubber, but I can see how you missed that in my original post. Next time I post in a thread you're in, I'll be sure to use pictures for you.

Well, I'd appreciate it!!! I certainly recognize your point but you fail to understand that I already have these grips and they haven't burnt me yet. And I posted pics...

Btw we should get together and ride this Summer! You're not doing Murtle Beach are you?
