I'd be totally freaking LIVID at this. And I'll bet the cops in question won't even get spoken to.

That's like like pulling you over for going 55 in a 55 zone, because you were "almost" speeding.

I've been pulled over for 55 in a 55 because I was "conspicuously being TOO careful".

The other day, our alarm went off at work after hours and ADT called me saying that I needed to go there and meet the police and that I may need to file a report if things were stolen.

Since it was storming outside, I figured the police would beat me there, but when I got there, no cops were outside (this was like 30 minutes after I got the call). I was scared to go inside because I'm 4'11 and had no idea if someone really did break in and maybe had a gun, or if it were just the wind from the storm blowing the door open because some idiot forgot to lock the door.

Of course, it was the latter. 10 minutes later, ADT calls me back to tell me that the cops aren't coming anymore because of bad weather. I almost told them that I was at gunpoint, but I was so pissed off that I just hung up on them. Assholes.

Don't do anything wrong and you'll have nothing to worry about.

There is always some kind of technicality that could be interpreted as "wrong"

53 days in jail for a crime you didn't commit and you wouldn't have an atty?

I sure as hell would, and it would be the one the cops hated the most becuase he regularly kicked their ass in court for stupidity.

Some people were worried about me driving across the country this week. Tuesday night I left for South Carolina. I got there, spent the night, then drive back here.

As a woman, driving alone, I drive with my 45 locked in the glove box with two clips locked in the box behind the back seat. That is not entirely legal in all the states I drive through, though it could be interpreted as something that could have a good defense. My view, rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. If I need to stop and sleep, you can be sure I will be armed...

This story freaks me out. I'm curious what took so long for her to get out.

If she would've had the money for that she would've been able to bail herself out as well...

Yea I took a lot of shit for carrying my .40 across country with me on the U.S. Tour I did, but none of those motherfuckers were sleeping alone in the woods at night either....

I pretty much carry anytime we're going out of town

Carried on my bike trip to CA yrs back, put it away in CA as it's not a gun friendly state

And carried back recently picking up the busa

A gun locked in the glovebox and the mags somewhere else would have done you no good if something occurred on the road or even at a gas stop. With A chl you coulda prob had it loaded and within arms reach.

As for hire an Atty. why? she is given a public atty, where was he/she and why did it take so long?
