I am still pissed I missed out on the Sarah Palin Internet Trial. I was on federal court pool for that one but didn't get picked.

LOL, yeah if you have knowledge, they don't want you. I got tossed from a railroad case because I knew too much about safety procedure and calibrating and maintaining tools properly.

I've been voting in Federal and Provincial elections since I turned 18, without missing a single one, and haven't been called up even once. I live less than 5 miles from the Superior Court of Justice.

Why do people try so hard to get off of Jury Duty? I've shown up twice, both I got to final selection. That is, only to be tossed out when they ask the finer questions.
I just know this, I would want to have someone like me on a jury if I ever needed it. Have you SEEN the people that get selected? I don't think I'd want any of them deciding my fate.

I actually enjoyed my time of it. I got paid full pay and paid lunches. Learned about oxycontin drug trade from Florida to Tennessee. Watched the DA crucify some stupid woman. Was good times.

I'll try to paraphrase the judge's summation as best I can. "Had you been truly repentant you would not have dragged this out for the past 2 years, thereby disrupting the lives of the witnesses. That this creates a hardship for you was your own doing. Three years."

I liked jury duty. Didn't get get paid by my employer, but they did pay $25 a day. It was a neat experience. I got chosen on the first trial of the week as an alternate. While at lunch the guy pled out to kidnapping and raping prostitutes. Got 13 years. On the very last day i was in another pool. The defense found out 2 of my best friends are cops so they cut me loose. Thank god..
