Point #1 is stupid and irrelelevant to the article.

Magazines allowing "guest posts" makes everyone think they can be the next John Grisham.

Lt. Col Bob should stick to writing Humor in Uniform for "The Digest".

Disagree. I think there are far more people who don't understand the basics of firearms operations than people who do understand them. I think point #1 at least establishes that the author knows which part of the weapon he's writing about.

I've seen many who are better writers in general assert far more idiotic positions regarding firearms than this guy.

That was the whole point (and the only reason) for putting it in there.

"I know more about guns than others do, let me show you..."

The article was about the dangers of flying bullets, not casings, primers or propellants.
