Have you rode one yet?

BTW...I just did an oil change, adjusted clutch and checked primary chain tension this evening. First time doing those on this bike.

And other than the oil, probably unnecessary. You just wanted to use the manual.

the problem with the Duc is it's range sucks, and I can't see it being comfortable for more than a couple hours... the 1125r is more upright... and it's range is much better.

I put in 5 gal even, and I pushed it to the pump. 168 miles

when the fuel light comes on, you have 25 miles period... unless you are riding hard... then you have about 15.
that's one thing I'm hope'n gets sorted out... the buell website claims 35-54mph with a 5.3 gal tank and a .6 gal reserve... that's 200 even at 40mpg.

they seem to be right on with the Firebolt as far as mileage... just the 3.5 gal tank sucks.

I'd prefer not to drop under a 200 mile range on trips (in town I get 185 or so)

Actually no....the shifting was a little sloppy. I had to pull the clutch lever all the way to the bar....after adjustment it's no bubbles no troubles. Primary was within spec so I didn't fuck with it.

New for 2009 on the 1125R and 1125CR models are targeted fuel injectors, relocated O2 sensors, and updated engine spark and fuel maps. The combination of these features offers improved drivability below 6000 rpm, even crisper throttle response, improved heat management, and significantly improved fuel economy. The updated engine spark and fuel maps will also be made available for 2008 1125R models.

True, but with a lil work you can get all the changes (except the swingarm spools ) onto the 08... and still have a 25th anny, and the blue frame/swingarm.

I'm thinking about swapping out headers (thus getting updated O2 placement as well as better heat control) and then getting the new spark and map. Should be up to par.
