and todays lesson is.....
The lesson for today is: use the CORRECT TOOL, dont use a dremel with a drill bit to drill in plastic. I'm still picking up pieces of my dremel's chuck from all over my bedroom, and somehow managed to fling the drillbit backward, into my bathroom, directly into the toilet no less.
I'll be damned if I can explain how or why that happened, but uhh, hmm, ummm, yeah. just use the right tool and dont be like me. |

I've used a dremel to drill into plastic numerous times... though I do use the dremel bits... |

I've used a dremel for almost everything... they work great.
In fact I used the flex-shaft with a drill bit with my dremel to drill holes for mounting the camera on my track plastics...

I guess I'm just sticking with the damn conventional drill. high rpm drilling seems to go wrong frequently for me.

The dremel manual will tell you what setting you should have the tool on for various bits/materials. Did you have the dremel on '10'? I am pretty sure that's not good for drilling into plastic you'll melt and bind and such.
