for a complete noob, age and maturity dont mean shit.
alotta guys who say they started on a 1000 and was fine-were riding dirtbikes before. for them, age and maturity can be a factor. get her some busa bodywork and put it on a 125 dirtbike, like they did in that great movie "torque" hahahaha

She's actually talking about getting a Monster now.

That's what I said. Of course, it was the big Monster she was looking at. She found a used one that had been lowered. "I have to have a lowered one", she said. I told her not to worry about that. Lowering links are cheap and I can do the work. I just told her to stay away from the big monster.

That's fucked up. Now she gets to think of that, but about you. Unless she doesn't worry. Do they even make Moms that don't worry??

I just want her to wear gear. She's a terrible driver; very easily distracted. I have a hard time visualizing her on a bike, and in control.

Same thing with my wife. Just sold her bike tonight though. Kinda feel relieved.

First I would say is contrary to popular belief a Busa is easy enough to ride, Its long throw throttle (1/4 vs 1/5 turn) combined with a torqy engine make it very well mannered at low revs. (think 750 twin)The down sides for most new riders is weight. They are heavy at the stop. If she gets the Busa there are countless comfort and appereance mods available. (never mind all the performance stuff)
If she goes Monster she will be thrilled this is a far more practical machine just a bit more expensive to maintain. Either way I like your mom's tastes and if I were married I would at least like to buy her a coffee |

If you really love your mom you'll find a huge gigantic open parking lot and tell her to ride your ZX10 around. Maybe it will scare her to something smaller or she'll wreck it and not want a bike period. Or it could work in reverse. It will suck about your bike but atleast you can keep your mom alive.
