Lesson for everyone here...
1. keep shotgun close to the bed.
2. Justice will be served eventually.

As for this story, terrible, but way to go in making sure it didn't happen again!!
Yes it's true. I knew an 85 year old lady who had a guy(crack head) break in her house and rob her (no rape but he smacked her around) then a few weeks later he tried to break in her house again late at night. She warned him to go away, he didn't. She shot the bastard through her door and blew his ass off the porch. Needless to say that he didn't make it. The state actually charged her with murder. A very good lawyer volunteered his services and she got off but still to charge her with murder was so stupid! That's some of our fine state laws at work

That just ain't right. Give the lady a break. Clearly she's defending herself...against a previous offender, no less.

The whole town was in an uproar over it! She didn't pay a dime in lawyers fees. A couple of local security companys hooked her whole house up with a system for free. The local police dept sent several officers to court to testify in her defense. They wouldn't even take her in for processing made the guys from the SBI do their own dirty work. Still sucks that she had to go through all of that though.

Good...it's good to hear the town got behind her. I mean 85 years old...give her a break.
