At this point though, I'm not putting anything past the screw-ups that Vista can cause. Have you ever added a Vista system to AD and then logged in for the first time, only to have Vista sit there saying that it was logging in for as long as you're willing to wait? Lost count, myself.
haven't used vista in a domain environment yet.

will be doing so soon, one of my systems is about to get overhauled and i'm gonna load up a VM to be a DC, so I'll be doing that soon enough.

I've got 2 Lacie 7.5 TB ones... I sold the drobos cause they were just to f-ing slow
And I didn't count the 2 MacMini's that are used solely as MediaCenter Devices. The old Xboxes running XBMC were great, but couldn't handle HD content...

Okay a little off topic but you computer folks going back and forth got me thinking and now I can't figure it out. There was a TV show from the 90s that I watched as a kid. It featured a Compaq computer that people would use to travel literally (Yes I said literally) INTO the internet and fight crime and stuff. Made me think Compaq was the best puters out there because of the show. Anyone know???

The only show that comes to mind was "Whiz Kids", but that was back in the early/mid '80s and I don't remember a lot about it. Definitely not the type of computer they used, which at best could have been an early PC compatible.

Do you have any more on it?
