Default Computer recycle bin recovery?

So, I deleted a bunch of pictures in my pictures. Then I emptied my recycle bin.

Is there a way to get them back?

Use your hard drive as little as possible. No more saving stuff until you run this. That will increase your chances of recovering the files.

They're probably still there. When you empty your recycle bin, you're not actually wiping out the file, you're just telling the computer that it's OK to overwrite that file with another file. But if that hasn't happened yet, the file still exists.

Those chunks of HD are available for writing, that's why it's important not to save anything right now, if possible. You could make your files unrecoverable.

Argh! Okay. Ya I totally understand they're still there. Problem is, it's a work computer and because they were photos IT won't help. Plus, no administrator privileges means I can't run anything.

Would they still be on the camera card?

Yes, run the same tool on your memory card (plug it into a USB card reader or something). Good luck!
