Looks like Jalopnik didn't do too much research on this. Corker in particular supported bailing out the auto industry, going so far as to submit his own $14 billion bailout plan (which was voted on in Dec, 2008). Disagreeing with the Obama administration about the best way to do it doesn't mean he was against bailing out GM. I'm sure the workers at the speech didn't like him too much since a major component of his plan was significant concessions from the UAW.

I worked in that plant for 6 months. Nice plant and nice people down there.
