It seems like a great price for that model - is that new? If new - I'd go for it. I've heard both good and bad from the compensated. Most that shoot regularly will tell you it's a waste. "Learn the right way and you won't need compensated." Kind of like the start small people of the motorcycle world.... I'm all for work-smarter not harder.

FWIW - just stopped in this shop today. They have a tiny little gun shop here in Austin and a huge online presence. They sell all the new items for 10% over their cost.

www.theonlinegunshop.com

Picked this up today, it will be in on Thursday. No shipping because it will be delivered to their shop.http://www.theonlinegunshop.com/shop...STAL-S.A..html Best part of the shopping experience is the three ancient dudes sitting in a corner of the shop talking about "damn kids these days..." while cleaning guns

AL, can't comment on the "C" model, haven't shot one of them but I have a 23 and a 27 that I like a lot. I can hit what I aim at with them and never had a problem with either.

If the seller will let you, see if y'all can test shoot it somewhere first and see if the flash bothers her.

Price wise, its a good deal though. I paid $400 for my 23 used but it didn't have more than a few mags run through it and it has night sights.

If she is 6' tall, she would be laughed at at the range with a compensated. I don't see why a person of that size would need it, even a girl. And $400 for that gun isn't that much of a killer deal that it can't be passed up. Seems like about an average deal to me. I'd take her to a gun show and wheel & deal there, among hundreds of choices.

Im about to make my first purchase after finally getting a range membership and license, and was considering a glock 9mm because they are so cheap to maintain and fire. But, I want it specificly for target shooting, so im going to be looking for something else a little more accurate. But imo, I think Glocks are badass looking guns.

Um OK maybe not literally, but they might be chuckling under their breath

And not sure what difference it makes whether she is hot or not

I was just saying I don't see the point of a compensator unless A) you're doing some kind of tactical training, shifting between multiple targets quickly, or B) you're an 90-lb midget.
