Good God. I'm surprised the bike is the only thing in a million pieces. I don't much feel sorry for the kid... but I do feel sorry for his family. Ultimately they suffer the most for his stupidity.

Pending whether or not he freakin' LIVES. Holy crap.

Um, what a dumbass! I give it an hour before the first "Motorcycles are evil and should be banned" comments on the sites.

Glad he didnt take anyone else out, bike parts flying at that speed would do some damage

Pretty sure they didn't make a YFR in '04...

Since when has accuracy in the media mattered more than sensationalism?

Drunk only adds to the lulz. Poor kid, but dumb mistakes can equal dumb consequences.

Like claimiing he crashed at 157mph? He was clocked at that speed 4 miles before the crash. I dunno about your bikes, but mine takes substantially less than 4 miles to change speed.

Plus he rode through the dirt for longer than the length of a football field before he hit the pole. Not taking away from the accident, it was obviously intense, but he certainly didn't collide with a concrete barrier at 157mph and live.
