I think he's spot on.

Kids don’t know anything about anything. We’ve changed as adults. We demand less of kids. We expect less of kids. We make their lives easier instead of preparing them for what life is truly about. He describes many of the parents we see out there today. In their hopes of creating a "better" childhood for their kids they have pandered to them. I'd personally love to be rid of that bullshit. Let's all do away with trophies for simply participating and teach our children that to have a winner there has to be a loser - to WANT to win, not just show up.
