It revs to redline in neutral, but not in gear? If it won't rev in gear, it sounds like the chain is too tight or the brakes are dragging. Maybe somethings wrong with the clutch or trans. Too bad you don't have a centerstand. I would put the bike on stands or a milk crate to check how the wheels spin first.

havent really messed with the chain at all since i bought it, im leaning towards the trans to. when in first it kinda sounds as if im trying to pull off from a stand still in 4th or 5th.
