Smile 1st post - Hi & Hello

Ebbs15 said I should pop in to say hi so here I am.

Wasn't sure where to stick my nose in but thought the mod section was as good a place as any.

I'm David from the UK and I run the GSX1400 club, real shame you guys never had a chance with this bike as I think you would have loved it. I guess you could say that I have owned 4 1400's since 2001, 1st one I did a few cosmetic mods and fitted a SuperCharger, sold that when it got to the 'lose my life or my licence' point. 2nd one I did a few mods and rode it for a year before before I got board - only parts left as standard are the front wheel / clocks and most of the engine.

You can see the old 'charged' 14 here > http://david-stallard.smugmug.com/ga...39356124_WKovK

And a couple of youtube clips of the 'new one' here, 1st clip is the build up (you will notice part way through we changed the rear design from twin shock to mono) and the 2nd is the finished thing (finished for now anyway)

I wont promise to be a prolific poster as I spend most of my time running the 1400 site and trying to learn how to use my new camera but will pop in when I can.

David aka .GNOME.

PS: Happy New Year guys

Yeah, too bad. Because here in the states, horsepower rules, and the manufacturers know it. But there are still small pockets of resisters who love and understand torque.

Of course - you can NEVER have too much torque.

The new one, I have only done the cams and a bit of tuning - she is only kicking out 130bhp but with 110ftlb torque around 5500 rpm. . . . my knuckles have started to drag on the floor lol.

Glad to know you! Yes tis a shame we missed out on teh street brawler 14. Would love for you to share more about your moto-scene in the UK. I read Fastbikes and Performance Bikes. Never fails to crack me up at the antics we could never get away with in pc USA.
