Default Thinking about picking up an 04 SV650...

any thoughts?

Daily commuter. Hubby has a 100 mile round trip to work. Need to save some $$ on gas.

if you guys have a good deal on one, sure. if you dont have one found yet lots of ujm standards and metric cruisers roll across craigslist everyday at dirt cheap. no reason to limit your search criteria if you are simply looking for transport. my 450 was $250. i think ive put maybe $80 into it so far

I've been commuting on the S model every summer for the past 6 years - you won't be sorry. If it's the nekkid model and he spends any measurable amount of time on the highway you'll maybe want to get a small windscreen or something (YMMV of course).

A DL650 would be a better long distance commuter but the SV650 is a good all-around bike.
