Gemballa Porsche Panamera Mistrale
SO-SO
What you see here is one of the first tuned Porsche Panameras on the drawing boards of famed tuning house, Gemballa. Insiders say its called the Mistrale, as in the French region, and given its looks, is no stranger to the all to common uber-power and aesthetic upgrades Gemballa is well known for crafting. The design sketches show a lower, more athletic Panamera. It features a full replacement of the front bumper and hood with pieces made from what is speculated to be carbon fiber. Both are vented for extra cooling to the massive carbon ceramic binders and rumored more powerful turbocharged motor. Its stock controversial rear end wears a custom piece that mimics many of the tuner's other models with its striking carbon fiber diffuser and integrated quad exhaust. The element is also vented for further air circulation. From what we can muster, as a whole, it's a handsome aftermarket kit. All four corners get 22-in. forged wheels wrapped in performance rubber. It's lowered, but by how much isn't exactly clear. If any of Gemballa current models like the 750 GTS are any indication, the Mistrale will indeed be fast, exclusive, and of course, very expensive. If you can jack up the stock Panamera's price to over $200,000, imagine what Gemballa's additions will retail for. Expect more details and real world pictures in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. I'm not a fan of the new body style BUT if Gemballa plays with it...it's a badazz.
One guy that works here had a Gemballa 911 version and it was a beast. I did not get to drive that one...but I didn't really know the guy very well either. |

The rear end reminds me of the old 928s.

Here's just one... http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/24/g...to-next-level/ Turbo to next level by John Neff (RSS feed) on Jan 24th 2008 at 1:56PM The Porsche 911 Turbo is one of the most capable supercars on the planet, and its design has been honed by the ages to be a super slippery modern interpretation of the Porsche's essence. All that goes right out the window with Gemballa's latest upgrade for the 911 Turbo, the Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R. Let's start with the new styling. Gemballa installs a new lower fascia that's pretty much one giant air intake divided into three parts. Likewise, a vented hood is added that will take some of that incoming oxygen and direct it up and over the car for more downforce and stability. The 911 Turbo also gets GT headlights and a super trick dual-wing rear spoiler. Gemballa gave the 911T new 19-inch alloy wheels out back fitted with Yokohama AVS Sport tires. Their sheer girth required the bodywork be widened, so new rear fenders bulge out to accommodate the steam rollers and incorporate a larger air intake ahead of the wheels. The rear apron has also been modified to allow four exhaust tips to exit on either side of the license plate. The look is menacing, and Gemballa gives the Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R the muscle to back up its menace. The engine has been enlarged to 3.8L and fitted with a pair of Garret T035 turbos in place of the stock blowdryers. Along with GT3-R heads, a machined crank and new connecting rods, the car now makes 850 HP and 690 ft-lbs of torque. Handling upgrades also include H&R coilovers with adjustable springs and three-position anti-roll bars. The Gemballa Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R does not appear to be for the faint of heart, but Gemballas never are. |

"Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R" Sounds like something a kid working at Pep Boys would come up with.
Doesn't look like there's much room for suspension travel before the tires hit the bodywork. Then again, the pictures have been 'shopped so hard that the door lines are almost gone.
