Default Help me find missing item

If you knew me personally then you would know that I absolutely HATE not being able to find something. A few months ago I lot a CD disc and could find it. I have the case but no disc. Months later I'm back looking for it. I have cleaned and searched my room and still can't find it. The last place I remember is I had it on my PC desk.

When I have a mess of papers I always go through them thoroughly before sorting or throwing away. This is truly pissing me off.

Where would you think to look? Where have you found a disc that was in a hard to find spot?

If it's a game disc, I look in other containers. I'm really bad about pulling out one game and putting the game I was playing into the container of the game that I'm about to play, rather than back in its right place. After a while, none of my games are in the right boxes, just mixed up. Same thing with music (when I had CDs at least). The disc I listened to would go into the case of the disc that I was about to listen to until everything was mixed up.

Did that already. I went through hundred or so cases of pc games, movies, console games, etc. I wanna say I had it out because I installed it, then my raid 0 failed so I was playing catch up on my console games. Believe it was 3 or so and no go there. I even manually opened a bunch of spare DVD drives I have lying around.

The suck is it's a retail copy and the key doesn't work on steam.

Tried finding a standard ISO ripped file of the game but only found one and it was hacked up.

If its on steam, email the company and see if they will give you a steam version. Tell them your story. Some companies do nice shit like that.

Steam will only do it ifd you have the reciept.

I never buy Physical PC games anymore. No worries about losing them that way.
