I hit a deer like that in 2004, 70 mph right through the windshield

Looks like Summit Main. There are a few videos of deer incidents there; we've had a couple sessions red flagged due to deer on the track out there (over ~5 years' time).

It would take a pretty large investment. I swear those dear have springs in their feet; I've seen those little deer bound from back yard to back yard here, easily clearing a 6' privacy fence.

Summit Point IS fenced in. You'd have to have 10 FT high fences to keep deer out. I've dodged groundhogs, squirrels but never a deer at Summit.

heard a story about a deer that got hit twice on main. Got clipped at the end of the straight, wnet through the woods and got nailed again near turn 3. Never saw one when I was there, but ran one session where a gopher or soemthing was chilling on the grass on the outside of turn 10. Not what you want to see comming onto the straight

At Watkins Glen the corner workers show moose horns to warn of deer.
