I'm really sorry man... all of my grand parents were gone by the time I was 12 and we weren't very close. I don't really know how you feel but I hope that you can reflect and focus on the positive aspects of your time together... you were very lucky to have had him this long and to have been able to see him one last time before he passed away was a great gift that you were given. Cherish it always.
BTW if you run into any cute underage cousins, get some numbers for a brother...you knew I wasn't letting that pedo comment slide.... Take care of yourself and remember that it's alright to grieve bro, don't bottle it in. He deserves your tears and your smiles. |

Damn dude, sorry to hear that. RIP to your grandpa.
I know what you mean about your grandma and being alone now. We are trying to find my wife's grandpa something to do after losing his wife. He had cows, but he can't take care of them anymore and they sold them all off yesterday. We are thinking about getting him a dog to take care, so he has some company.

My uncle gave them a chihuahua. Luckily grandma can still get around on her own.

I haven't lost too many people close to me, but I'm getting older, and I know I'm going to have to do a lot more of it, and sooner than I would like to...but you can never really prepare yourself.
Sorry for your loss, man.

Sorry to hear this. I lost my grandma when I was away at college and was unable to come home for the funeral. Its hard with no "closure" but I will say that every day it does get a little better and you are able to look back at the good times with out as much hurt. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

I'm sorry man.. it's good to hear that your dad and grandma got to say goodbye though.. not many people have that opportunity. While I can't say I understand the pain you are feeling, I am very close to my grandparents as well.
