Dude, look at the link I posted above. The big ballasts will fit under your windscreen. Use the link I posted and recheck your installation. Heck if I was you, i'd go ahead and order the slim ballasts. They are so easy to tuck out of the way and quite light.

I think next time I have my fairings apart I will relocate the ballasts. I like the link you posted.

I wonder how much the slim ballasts are...

I ordered my Slim Ballast HID kit on EBay for $79.99 shipped... So if you go online and you find that the balasts themselves are more than that from a distributer I would just order a whole new kit then you will have spare parts left over.

Go to www.aandrmotorsport.com and price out the slim ballasts. They will sell them seperatly. They make the true plug and play kit for the R1 that about 90% of the R1 forum uses. They are great people and took the time to email back and forth with me several times before I actually bought the kit.
